Free SSL Certificate & Free Domain Name
Back when I was a broke college student (2007-2013), hosting my projects online always felt like a compromise. I didn’t have the budget for custom domains or SSL certificates, so I had to rely on whatever came bundled with shared hosting providers — usually some clunky subdomain paired with a self-signed SSL certificate — definitely didn’t feel professional.
Fast forward a decade, and things have changed for the better. Today, it’s actually possible to get both a free SSL certificate & a free domain name. In this post, I’m putting relevant links to the same — resources I wish had existed back when I was just starting out.
